With the continuation of the COVID-19 virus, our church family is going to be taking specific steps to promote the well-being and health for all people joining us at any of our worship gatherings.
Our desire is to create a space available and safe to ALL people within our church family to come and gather with confidence and peace of mind.
We are excited to take this opportunity to love our neighbors as ourselves and do all we can to protect one another in love as we worship together. This season is an opportunity to live out the words of the apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:21,
“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
Below are the safety precaution and guidelines we will be following on Sundays together:
Promoting Healthy Hygiene Practices:
- We will have hand sanitizer stations placed within the church for people to use as they desire throughout the day.
- We will have access to all bathrooms and we encourage all to wash your hands thoroughly.
Masks:
- We will be encouraging all people to wear masks at all times, including during the time of worship.
Cleaning and Disinfecting:
- Our team will be cleaning all high-touch surfaces before and after each gathering.
- Our team will be disinfecting used chairs after each gathering.
- Our host school’s facilities team will be cleaning and disinfecting the room after each gathering as well.
Social Distancing:
- We have rearranged our chairs within the sanctuary to allow for 6 feet between rows and we ask that each family/party allow for at least 3 empty seats between them if sitting in the same row.
Limited Sharing Of Worship Materials And Other Items:
- We will not be passing out worship guides (the brochures) or any paper materials. They will be laid out by our team prior to the gathering for any who wish to pick them up at your convenience.
- We will not be passing the offering baskets. We are encouraging giving online through our touchless system using the Church Center App. For those who desire to continue giving in person, we will provide an offering basket at the entrance where offerings can be placed.
- We will not be setting up the lobby area of the sanctuary – to allow for more seating – and to promote social distancing as much as possible. As well, we will not be providing coffee due to the risk of a very high-touch surface with the coffee pots.
Nursery and City Kids:
- We are providing appropriate space for a nursery and toddlers/pre-school aged children.
- All team members in the rooms will be wearing masks.
- We ask the children age 6 and up wear masks.
- Our team will be wiping down high-touch surfaces and toys after the gathering.
- We are preparing a space for Elementary, but for the first few weeks, potentially months, we will be having our elementary-aged City Kids join us in the main worship gathering until we can confidently create an appropriate and safe space for them.
Other Procedures:
- We kindly ask that anyone who is experiencing symptoms or not feeling well to use wisdom and caution. We ask that if you experience any of these things before coming, that you worship with us online until feeling better or the symptoms are relieved.
- If you become sick or begin experiencing symptoms shortly after a worship gathering, please notify Pastor Bradley online through our website.
I am excited to see you all and continue worshipping together as a church family!
Blessings,
Pastor Bradley
